Hi, I'm Nino...
Reporting on business from New York City.
Currently I am a...
- Fortune News Fellow, Global News Desk.
- Dow Jones News Fund intern class of 2025.
- NYU Business and Economics Reporting MA Candidate and Marjorie Deane Fellowship recipient, May 2026.
Thank you so much for visiting my digital portfolio.
I am based in New York City, where I am a graduate student at New York University's Business and Economics Reporting program. I am set to graduate in May 2026.
I am a full-time News Fellow at Fortune Magazine, breaking news and providing exclusive business coverage on the Global News Desk—a team that accounts for most of the website's traffic. My bylines have garnered millions of page views and engaged minutes, with coverage that ranges from labor market issues and governmental policy to trade, tarriffs and Fortune 500 earnings. See my full portfolio on my Fortune author page.
I was the 11th most-read reporter at Fortune in September. My stories have international reach, and my Fortune bylines have been picked up by major international news outlets and aggregators including Estadão, Yahoo News, Yahoo Finance, Yahoo Sports, Fortune China, Fortune Korea, Inkl, Aol, InfoMoney, Yahoo Finance Singapore, Flipboard and Currently.
I take pride in being well-sourced across indutries and sectors and having access to premier voices in business.
I moved to the city from Washington, D.C., where I worked at Marketplace, the world-renowned business and economics news program broadcast on national public radio.
The East Coast is new to me. I'm a proud Montanan who earned my bachelor's degree at Oregon State University. My first journalism job out of undergrad was at a local newspaper called The Observer in La Grande, an eastern Oregon town of 13,000 people. I was awarded this position through the University of Oregon's Charles Snowden Program for Excellence in Journalism, and am eminently thankful to have had the privilege of reporting local news in an often overlooked community.
I just love to write. I also love talking to people and building relationships, whether it's through a 15-minute phone call or a series of meetings. Not only does journalism serve as a community-oriented outlet where I can exercise this passion, but it has also become the career I want to build. Responsibilities such as speaking with people of all statuses, backgrounds, demographics and levels of privilege; investigating happenings and trends within communities; and developing thorough, fact-driven copy have opened my eyes to the importance—and fun!—of reporting.
I hope some of my stories, collected here from various reporting positions, resonate with you. Feel free to reach out if you'd like to connect.
